Playlists selected for updating
Or maybe you just like trading and/or sharing music files with friends.
Either way, if your i Tunes library regularly gets bombarded with new music, it's easy for all those incoming files to get lost in the shuffle – particularly if you do the majority of your music listening on an i Phone. Here's a super easy way to make sure all the music you've recently acquired (however you've acquired it), shows up on your i Phone every time you sync.
This is like putting all your newly loaded songs into a firehose and shooting it directly onto your phone.
It makes your workflow super-convenient – rip a bunch of CDs, download a few albums from Amazon, then sync your phone and it all loads up without you having to do anything else.
Any changes that you made to your library after the date on the i Tunes Library that you used in step 5, such as new playlists that you created or songs that you added, might not appear in i Tunes and might need to be recreated or re-added.
Hi There, Just wonding if as i've followed the Spotify Australian Top 50 song playlist, If ive selected download of the playlist will it update automatically on wifi to update the songs as they change?
I have several smart playlists that pick a random selection of music limited by total disk space.
It used to be that to change that random selection, you just selected all the tracks in the smart playlist and pressed backspace to delete them, which caused it to repopulate with a new random selection.
Some of my favorite third-party tools are: i Eat Brainz - This free program examines songs in your library and then creates an auditory fingerprint of the sound of each song to match it with the correct information maintained in the Music Brainz Database.
Specifically, it used to be that you could force these playlists to update simply by opening the "Edit Smart Playlist" window for the list and clicking OK.
As of i Tunes 8, this no longer updates the playlist.
But I recommend starting at 0 – it ensures a higher turnover of new music every time you sync.
The problem with creating normal playlists is that the songs in them remain static.
