The Social Security Number, which is recorded on the corresponding Social Security Card, is your Tax Identification Number.

Appalachian State University has agreed to be a part of this program, therefore it is mandatory for all new hires at this university.

E-Verify provides an automated link to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Social Security Administration (SSA) databases to help employers determine employment eligibility of new hires and the validity of their Social Security numbers.

This program does not effect your current student employees.
